In The Event Of Inclement Weather ...

It is possible that services and activites could be cancelled because of inclement weather. If the pastors and elders decide to cancel, here is how you can find out :

1. Closing information will be submitted to KCRG - TV 9, KWWL - TV 7, KGAN - TV 2 and on the radio at 92.9 KATFM and 1490 WDBQ.

2. If you would prefer to receive an email, please let the church office know at so we can update our contact lists.


Advent Wednesdays

We will have a congregation meal starting at 5:30pm, followed by Midweek Classes & Choir Practices              

Dec 19th - The Sunday School Program.

Dec 24th - Service will be held at 5:00pm and 7:00 pm.

Dec 25th  - Service will be held 9:00 am.

Dec 31 - Service will be held at 7:00 pm. 


Youth Group

Higher Things registration is now open. We are planning to attend July 16th - 19th in Mequon, Wi. We would like to register in mid December. This is for high school students only. Please let Beth Schadel at know if you are interested, or have any questions.


Attention All Sunday School - Aged Children Ages 3 years old - High School:

Mark your calendars and plan on participating in " Away in a Manger" this year's Advent Christmas Program. The program will be on Wednesday, Dec 19th at 7:00 pm. ( Please sign up across from the mailboxes!)

2nd rehearsal will be Dec 16th following 2nd service  with a light lunch being served.

Please plan on participating even if you can't make it to both rehearsals. If you play an instrument, please contact Kathy Kramer at if you wish to share your musical abilities. There is a part for everybody to play. 



We now have 1 spot available in our afternoon 4 year old class, & openings in both 3 year olds sessions. Please call the church office at (563) 588 -1247 or stop by to pick up registration information.

There is a Caring & Sharing tree that lists numerous items the preschool would  like to have donated.

New Bible Study for the new year!

Please come join us for a new Bible study beginning the 1st of the year for both the Men's and Women's Bible Study groups. Both groups will be using the book " The Fire and the Staff : Lutheran Theology in Practice" by Klemet Preus. We would like to place a bulk order of this text which would save on cost - please sign up in the church office if you are interested! **Men's Bible Study meets on Friday mornings at 6:30am in the Fellowship Hall. Women's Bible Class meets on Thursday morning at 9:00 am in the Solarium


DLS Angel Tree Project

Dubuque Lutheran School will be coordinating an Angel Tree Project this year. School families along with the Our Redeemer and St. Paul congregations are invited to participate. Anyone who is interested in sponsoring a family is welcome to pick up an " Angel " from the DLS office which has an item one of our sponsored families could use for Christmas. Participants would purchase the item on their angel and bring the item to the DLS office by Thursday 12/20.  If someone is unavailable to pick up an angel, DLS office can email a photo of one to you if this is more convenient. Food Pantry

This December, donations to the food pantry will be supporting the Dubuque Food Pantry's annual " Christmas Basket Give Away."  Items that are  needed : canned hams between 2 - 5 lbs, coffee, tea, canned fruit, ramen noodles, canned sweet potatoes, soup, boxed potatoes, flour, sugar, cake or brownie mixes, personal care items, baking supplies, and toothpaste. All donations can be left in the shopping cart by the mailboxes - we appreciate your generosity during this Christmas season!


2019 Altar Flowers

Do not forget to sign up to place flowers on the altar for 2019 before your special date is taken! The chart can be found on the bulletin board by the restrooms. Cost is $20.00 per bouquet. Please consider signing up for dates in January - we still need flowers for the 6th, 13th and 20th! Looking ahead to February, we still need flowers for the 3rd, 10th, and 17th.
